This equipment is used for determining the susceptibility of polyolefin plastics to environmental stress cracking when subjected to certain conditions. In this method, the artificially stressed specimen (bent) are subjected to surface active agents. The apparatus consists of S. S. inner tank for holding water or any other liquid used for the test. The tank is heat insulated. An automatic PID controller controls the liquid temperature accurately. The pump ensures the circulation of liquid and keeps the temperature uniform at all the areas inside the tank. A stainless steel tray hold the test tubes contain the specimen. All the tools like Nicking Jig, die transfer tool, bending tools etc. required for preparing the specimen are also provided with the equipment.
